Sizzziling Hot!

Well, for Polish standards anyways. Temps got up to to the high 80's on Saturday and everyone was in their bikini's catching some rays. So Josh, Mia, and I grabbed some blankets, music, and some cold beers and enjoyed another beautiful day. The highlight of the day was watching Mia cool off in the water and getting to play with all her doggy buddies.  Another glorious day at the park!

BitterSweet

Well it is official. We head back to our home in Houston October 1st. So surreal that almost an entire year has flashed before us. Bittersweet is the word that best describes how we feel about our move back home."Bitter" that we won't get to continue on all our European adventures and that we will be leaving some really great friends behind."Sweet", that we finally get to go back to our home, Family, and close friends. Josh and I are so grateful to have had this opportunity. This experience has made us grow closer as a couple and we feel like this year has bonded us in so many ways. But we believe it's safe to say that we are ready for the next stage in our lives, whatever God intends that to be.

So for now we are trying to spend as much time as we can with friends and preparing for our trip to Turkey and Greece. We are thrilled about getting to take this vacation! I have personally dreamt of taking this trip for as long as I can remember so this vacation really is a dream come true!  I couldn't think of a better way for Josh and I to celebrate 4 years of marriage and the end to such an amazing year!!

So here's to enjoying the last 35 days in Poland and finally getting to go back home!
So BitterSweet.

Farmers Market

I have been meaning to write a post on the farmers market that we have just about a block from our place for awhile now. I discovered it through a friend back in March and I have been going to it ever since. This is where I go on a regular basis to get fresh fruit, veggies, and organic eggs. I absolutely love this place and I finally took the time to take some pictures while my Mother was here. The market also includes a flower section that I occasionally go to pick up flowers for the home. Another thing I will miss about Poland.

Check it out!

Happy Birthday!!!

Today I want to wish my INCREDIBLE husband a wonderful birthday! I feel so blessed that I have been able to go on this journey with him and obviously none of this would have been possible without him.  I have seen how hard he has worked since we have been here and I am just so proud of what he has been able to accomplish.  I wanted to take a moment to recognize all his hard work and let him know how much he is appreciated.  He is an AMAZING man and I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world!!

Today we celebrate you Baby!!!

A First

Well we have had many firsts here in Poland but getting stuck in the elevator was most definitely a first for all three of us. 45min stuck in an elevator is not exactly our idea of great time but we most certainly shared some laughs afterwards. We were happy to finally be out to get some fresh air (elevators get hot fast!) and we made sure to celebrate with a few cold drinks afterwards. Thought it would be fun to share a few pics we took while trying to occupy our time. Pretty happy that whole ordeal is over with!

still smiling

time to celebrate!
