Braxton's Sprinkle

Are Braxton and I lucky or what to have these beautiful ladies in our lives!?! They couldn't have made me feel more special and even after BEGGING them to not do a thing because we really are set with baby boy, they managed to spoil us both beyond means!

I am not going to deny that this Momma loved being pampered at the incredible & gorgeous Houstonian resort and spa! We had a fabulous time eating lunch, getting amazing pedis, and indulging in yummy crave cupcakes! I had the BEST time catching up with some of my favorite ladies and loved all of the ADORABLE gifts for Braxton! They went above and beyond for us both and honestly I couldn't be more grateful for every single one of these ladies' friendships! So glad to have them all here with me in Houston and to get to experience this journey of motherhood together!

Thanks again Girls!!
LOVE YOU BEYOND WORDS!!!

36/37 weeks

Braxton's arrival is slowly getting closer and closer! It really is hard for my brain to wrap around the fact that we will be having another sweet, snuggly little baby boy to love on any day now! I have definitely entered the VERY uncomfortable stage of pregnancy and feel like I have aches and pains everywhere at this point. My belly is getting huge that even some of my maternity shirts are getting to be a bit too small. yikes!

We had an ultrasound of baby boy right at 37 weeks to determine position and Doctor says that he is head down and in great position (Thank you GOD! )! I have to say this was a worry of mine the last several weeks because it seems as though he is moving WAY more than I ever remember Alexander did, at this point. I have an ultrasound picture that is a bit hard to make out, unless you really look closely at his sweet little face. He appeared to be sucking on his thumb and had both his hands up to his face! =-) So far I am only 1 cm dilated and he hasn't exactly dropped down just yet. Doctor says its pretty common in second pregnancies for baby to drop right before labor starts vs. first time pregnancies. So who know?! This waiting game is the hard part for this crazy Momma!

We have had a few false alarms already. I definitely have had WAY more contractions with this little boy than I ever did with Alexander! About a week ago I had painful contractions that woke me up in the middle night that defintely made me make sure to have my bags packed incase the real deal happens! I also have to be more consciousness  of drinking a ton of water throughout the day since its SO HOT outside. Getting dehydrated really gets my contractions going!

Anyhow, so far so good. We are almost there! So ready to finally meet my newest little baby boy!

36 weeks (so embarrassing but excuse the toothbrush in my mouth! Always muti-tasking!)...

37 weeks....

Had to throw this picture in there of Big Brother giving his little brother kisses! Can not wait to see this brother bond form and grow!

And here is an ultrasound picture at 37 weeks of Braxton's face (if you look closely you can kind of make it out).....

Alexander's 2 Year Stats

We recently had your routine 2 year Doctor appointment and we got your stats in so I thought I would write a post on here for keepsakes. I also stumbled upon your 18month stats that I plan to go back and post in your blog under the appropriate timeline.

Your 2 year appointment went great! You are strong and healthy and are pretty much where you need to be as far as your milestones go. Thankfully you had no shots this time. Your Hep A vaccine will take place at your 2 1/2 (we def lucked out this time!).

Here are your 2 years stats....

Height: 37 inches & 98% percentile
Weight: 34lbs 15oz & 98% percentile
BMI: 17.94 kg/m2 & 82% percentile
FOC: 20.08 inches & 95% percentile

Alexander's 2 Year Birthday Party

This year your birthday party was pretty laid back and low key. Most of your friends were out of town so we mostly spent it with family and your buddy Sterling! Although we missed having most of your close friends there it really turned out just the way it was supposed to and most importantly you had a blast! This year you really enjoyed opening up all your gifts and would say "WOWWW" every time you saw what was behind the tissue paper or wrapping paper! You even ate your birthday cupcake this time. Although not a fan of icing, Dad had the great idea to just flip it over and you were so into eating up the cake portion of your cupcake!

We love you Alexander and are so happy you spent a wonderful 2nd Birthday!!

Not much of a setup this year but we have to remember your Momma is very pregnant at this point!

Time to sing Happy Birthday!....

Time to open all your fun gifts!....

You love your new tricycle your Abuelos gave you!....
