Braxton's arrival is slowly getting closer and closer! It really is hard for my brain to wrap around the fact that we will be having another sweet, snuggly little baby boy to love on any day now! I have definitely entered the VERY uncomfortable stage of pregnancy and feel like I have aches and pains everywhere at this point. My belly is getting huge that even some of my maternity shirts are getting to be a bit too small. yikes!
We had an ultrasound of baby boy right at 37 weeks to determine position and Doctor says that he is head down and in great position (Thank you GOD! )! I have to say this was a worry of mine the last several weeks because it seems as though he is moving WAY more than I ever remember Alexander did, at this point. I have an ultrasound picture that is a bit hard to make out, unless you really look closely at his sweet little face. He appeared to be sucking on his thumb and had both his hands up to his face! =-) So far I am only 1 cm dilated and he hasn't exactly dropped down just yet. Doctor says its pretty common in second pregnancies for baby to drop right before labor starts vs. first time pregnancies. So who know?! This waiting game is the hard part for this crazy Momma!
We have had a few false alarms already. I definitely have had WAY more contractions with this little boy than I ever did with Alexander! About a week ago I had painful contractions that woke me up in the middle night that defintely made me make sure to have my bags packed incase the real deal happens! I also have to be more consciousness of drinking a ton of water throughout the day since its SO HOT outside. Getting dehydrated really gets my contractions going!
Anyhow, so far so good. We are almost there! So ready to finally meet my newest little baby boy!
36 weeks (so embarrassing but excuse the toothbrush in my mouth! Always muti-tasking!)...
37 weeks....
Had to throw this picture in there of Big Brother giving his little brother kisses! Can not wait to see this brother bond form and grow!
And here is an ultrasound picture at 37 weeks of Braxton's face (if you look closely you can kind of make it out).....
