Berlin

Berlin is an easy weekend getaway from Warsaw. In just 5hrs by train we were in chic, posh, ohhh soo lovely Berlin! I am not really sure what I was expecting but 2 days simply was not enough.  Of course we got a good overview of the city but Josh and I have already planned to return to experience the vibrant night life. Sausages and beer are plentiful and as soon as we arrived they had us at HELLO!!!! It was our first visit for all three of us and we left incredibly impressed. Its amazing to see what this city has gone through and how it has managed to come out on top in such a short time.  I wish I had taken more pictures of the city at night but there is always next time.

Bring 'Em On

Mother was the beginning of our visitors for the next several months and to be honest I could not be happier to get to play tour guide. It keeps me busy and it makes the time go by fast.  I am so happy to get to spend time with all the people I love and it warms my heart to know that our family and friends would make it so far to come visit us. =)

Recently, Edy flew solo to spend some girl time with me and my mother here in Warsaw.  It was so fun getting to run the town together.  We had an absolute blast and we made the best of the SUPER cold weather.  Ian later joined us for the weekend where we returned to Krakow for a short day trip. Sadly Edy & Ian had to go but I am super excited for our next set of visitors!

Valentine's Day

Sweet Josh was lucky to have three Valentine's this year! All three of the Ladies (Mother, Mia, and I) got beautiful roses from one of the most WONDERFUL men I know! Josh and I spent our Valentine's attending a dinner dance/party at the Hilton in Warsaw in Support of a foundation called Corporate Social Responsibility. "They are a network of 90 international corporate Ceo's actively working in Poland to affect positive social change through corporate philanthropy". This past Christmas the foundation raised enough money to feed hot meals to 10,000 children across Poland. During the dinner we received a treat by getting to watch a little show put on by the kids. It was sooo nice that Josh and I could be a part of such a special cause and we enjoyed getting to know some wonderful people!

Hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day!

We are such lucky girls!

Mother is finally Here!

Well it has been awhile since my last post. I got preoccupied with getting things ready before my mother's visit and now its been a week since she has been here and we have been running the city of Warsaw. It is so wonderful to have her here with me. I don't ever want her to leave!

This past weekend we hopped on a train and took Mom to Krakow. We spent a wonderful Friday exploring, and ended the evening with our sweet friend Olivia who is currently going to medical school in Krakow. After dinner Josh caught up with us after work so he could join us on our day trip to Auschwitz concentration camp the following day. Auschwitz is about an hour outside of Krakow and is the largest of the German concentration camps during World War II. It was an emotional day for sure but an important part of our History that should always be remembered and never be forgotten. The weekend came to an end too soon but not to worry,  Mom and I will be making it back to Krakow this Saturday for the day with our friends Edy & Ian who are coming to visit. YAY! I really don't think I could ever get sick of Krakow. =)
