Happy 1 Year Big Boy!!

Here we are 1 year later. Can't believe how fast time is flying and how much you have grown over the last year. There have been some serious changes over the last month and you are keeping your Mom and Dad Sooo very busy!! Now I understand why Moms try to have activities planned for their kids on a daily basis so that we can tire you busy babies out! ha For your Birthday weekend you started to take your very first steps all on your own. We were not expecting it and it completely caught us by surprise. You continue to experiment with your new discovery and let yourself go every now and then. You also have what seems to be full set of teeth now. Poor thing had a rough few weeks while all of them bust through but you handled them like such a champ! Now we are just waiting on two of your molars that the doctor says are coming soon. We love you so much and are so thrilled and honored to have you as our perfectly, sweet 1 year old!

this is what you have been up to this past month....

*soon after your 11 month post you started to stand without assistance, balancing all by yourself

*You like to feed your Mom and Dad your food and to hand us over your toys, like your sharing =-)

*You understand when we ask you to throw the ball and you so diligently do so

*Took several steps all on your own over your birthday weekend (caught on video twice) but you still
haven't taken off just quite yet, i think your still feeling it out. i think its soon.

*You love to wave hi to me every morning and to strangers
*you looked at me for the first time and said "Momma" (you have been looking my way when your
dad says "momma" for some time now, along with "Mia" and "Dada" but this was your first time to
actually call out for me and that seriously made me so happy

*You attempt to say "dog" and "Mia" and are showing signs of trying to say more

*You Love the water and your new favorite thing to do is to go to the splash pad
* You rather go down the stairs then go up...you will climb the stairs halfway only to attempt to go
back down

*Talking/babbling a lot, even though we cant quite make out what your saying
*started to attempt to place shape blocks in there designated cut outs
*You have 7 teeth and one that appears to be poking thru, along with your top 2 molars that the doc
says will be here any day now

*You have become picky about eating certain foods. you are rejecting some vegetables and diff foods
that you used to love (maybe your 7 teeth at once had something to do with it)

*separation anxiety has kicked in and you don't welcome strangers as easily as you used to, you have even cried a few times when Dad tried to hold you (that has broken his heart) but that usually is when your still a little foggy from waking up from your nap

*Still napping 2 times a day about 1 1/2 hours each, sometimes if your morning nap is longer (2 1/2 hours) you will take a 45min nap in the afternoon. although there are some days i wonder if we can only squeeze in one nap because you wake up so late and go to bed so early, we are feeling it out and just take it day by day

*Learned how to do the Indian call with your hands and you think it's SOO funny,

*You also love to mimic me making bubble noises with my finger on my lips

*Recently have started to play with your drinking water and think its funny to dribble it out of your

mouth

*when your eating yogurt you love to gargle it and think its so funny

*you love to make your fish face

*waving bye

*loves to groove to music!

*still in size 4 diapers

* no weight on you yet but when we go to the doctor for your 1 year appointment I will document stats

*schedule has been all over the place with your teething and our trip to D.C.
