Our first month with Alexander has flown by and its hard to believe we have been parents for over a month now. We have been blessed with such an amazing baby and we are so grateful that things have gone smoothly so far. As soon as Abuetlita left us, Josh and I began to settle into more of a routine and really started to master our skills as new parents.
One thing we have been lucky with so far is that our sweet baby has been an incredible sleeper since the day we brought him home. We kept waiting for his post delivery coma to fade away but as of date (knocking on wood!) he continues to sleep sooo well! The first two weeks of life I had to set my alarm to feed him every 4 hours because he usually wouldn't wake up on his own at night. But as soon as we knew at his 2 week appointment he was in fact gaining weight, we felt more comfortable letting him sleep longer stretches. You know the saying "never wake up a sleeping baby!". So that is exactly what we did and weeks 3-4 he went anywhere from 5-6 hour stretches at night.
So far So Good!
